The first president of the bank was Henry Martin, former president of the Attica and Buffalo Railroad, who was appointed a salary of $1,000 per year. In 1885, Martin retired as president at the age of 83, and Pascal Pratt, who had been Vice President since the bank's formation, succeeded him.
